The life of an indie author is exciting.

When the time was near the set date of my first book reading event, I was so emotional. I began trembling just by thinking of the fact that I will have to speak in front of people about my novel, what inspired me to write it, and answer possibly rather personal questions.

I looked for guidance in other authors, many of them indies too, and I will say with an open heart that I am grateful to them for the support they offered during that time. Heather Grace Stewart, J.D. Estrada, and Tony Lewis-Jones were some of the most supportive, probably because they know how difficult and fun it is to held an event like that.

The event took place on the 2nd floor of Eleto Chocolate Cafe, in Canterbury, Kent, on the 21st of December, 2017.

I want to give my thanks to all of the lovely people who came to attend the event. I was really nervous (as I'm sure you can notice in the videos I posted on my youtube channel) but I think the overall atmosphere was really nice. There was music performed by the lovely Sam Brothers, there were stories told, lots of good questions asked, lots of laughs, the venue was really nice too, I received a painting and a bouquet of flowers as gifts, people bought some books to give as presents and to keep for themselves, so all in all it was a lovely evening.;)

Here's a few photographs from the event:

Answering questions

Signing books

More signing of books and hugging people ;)

The yellow flowers I received :)

In case you're new to my blog, here's the links(s) to my debut novel, if you'd like to check it out. It's a short novel that deals with grief, bdsm, and all sorts of other stuff. It's quite explicit (lots of sex & violence) so consider yourself warned. No need to mention that my novel is for adults only.

The event was filmed using the Canon 80d and the 20 mm f1.4 Sigma Art lens. :)

Thank you for stopping by and reading this.

Have a lovely day,

Lily.
